Five candidates for the Las Vegas Raiders HC position

The Las Vegas Raiders are in the market for a new head coach after the firing of Antonio Pierce on Tuesday.

That seems to be a recurring theme for the Raiders as they look to hire a fifth head coach since 2019.

Yardbarker takes a look at the possible five candidates the Raiders could target as owner Mark Davis looks to find some stability.

Pete Carroll, former Seattle Seahawks HC

Pete Carroll was fired as the head coach of the Seattle Seahawks in 2024.

Carroll led the Seahawks to a Super Bowl victory in 2014.

Seattle made it to the postseason 10 of Carroll’s 14 seasons as coach and went to the divisional round seven times and won two NFC titles.

Liam Coen, Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator

Liam Coen has done some wonders with the Bucs, especially with quarterback Baker Mayfield who finished the regular season with a career-high 4,500 passing yards and 41 touchdowns.

Under Coen, Tampa Bay is third in the NFL with 399.5 yards per game.

Brian Flores, Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator

Brian Flores was previously with the Miami Dolphins. Things didn’t work out there, but he rebuilt his reputation with a successful tenure as a defensive assistant and LBs coach for the Steelers before he landed the DC job in Minnesota.

The Vikings finished third in the NFL in takeaways and fourth with 48 sacks this season.

Ben Johnson, Detroit Lions OC

Under Ben Johnson, the Detroit Lions offense produced 409.5 yards per game, ranking them second in the NFL just ahead of Tampa Bay.

Johnson is also a candidate for the Chicago Bears’ HC position.

Mike Vrabel, former Tennessee Titans HC

Mike Vrabel went 54-45 as the Tennessee Titans head coach before the team fired him in January 2024.

He led the Titans to three playoff appearances, including the AFC Championship Game in 2019.

Vrabel already interviewed with the New York Jets.
