Lions announce Detroit-based halftime act for Week 18 vs Vikings

USA Today

After a well-received Thanksgiving halftime show from country artist Shaboozey, the Detroit Lions are turning back to the home front for the entertainment in Week 18.

The Lions announced that Detroit-based pop artist Quinn XCII will perform at halftime of next Sunday’s finale in Ford Field. A native of Grosse Pointe, Quinn blends several genres into a pop-tinged mix with a lot of hip-hop, reggae and synthpop influences. He started making music as a student at Michigan State in nearby East Lansing.

He has a new album out and this prominent appearance will certainly help launch the latest record.

The artist is a lifelong Lions fan, which should bring some extra energy to what has been a hit-and-miss roster of recent halftime shows in Ford Field.
