6 winners and 3 losers from Lions win over the Jaguars, it’s the little things that kill

Yardbarker

The Detroit Lions absolutely imposed their will with a 52-6 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. We have six winners and three losers from this one. Here’s what we got:

Winners

Jared Goff

There’s no way around it, Jared Goff had a bad game against the Texans with five interceptions. There was no better way to rebound from that than what he did against the Jags on Sunday. Goff threw for 400 yards for the first time since his Rams day and threw four touchdown passes as well. What a day for him.

Amon-Ra St. Brown

What a day for St. Brown. He was targeted 11 times and caught all 11 of them for a career high 161 yards and two touchdowns. What a day for him. He continues to show that he is one of the best receivers in the NFL every week. We could be looking at back to back All-Pro seasons.

Jameson Williams

Speaking of career highs, Jameson Willams also had a career high with 124 yards. Plus he had a big touchdown too. He’s really becoming the player everyone hoped he’d be.

Terrion Arnold

A very good game for Arnold. By far the best of his rookie season so far. Williams allowed just one catch for 23 yards on four targets. A really good game. Let’s see him have some more big games like this going forward.

Penei Sewell

Can we just go ahead and say he’s the best overall player in the entire league? I think its totally fair to say that. He’s just really good at being a lineman, but he’s also good at just being aware of things he can do to help make his team better. Pushing Montgomery into the end zone for a touchdown was huge. He just had the awareness to do that.

Tim Patrick

This guy just continues to go out there and get big block after big block and it’s the thing that’s going to give him a real shot to get another contract with this team this offseason. If he starts making plays through the air, we can say he’s fully back.

Losers

Alex Anzalone

Anzalone is just here because it looks like the Lions are going to be missing him for a while. It did not look good when he went down and then came up holding his arm while trainers were stabilizing it. It looked like he said “it’s broke” to someone coming off the field. Now we know it’s for sure broken.
