The Detroit Lions just beat the brakes the off the Tennessee Titans 52-14. Believe it or not, that was the first time the Lions have ever beaten the Titans. They’d beaten the Oilers three times, but never the Titans. Here’s our 4 winners and 3 losers from this one
Winners
Kalif Raymond
What a game from Raymond. It’s not totally going to show up in the box score stats or get you a lot of fantasy points, but he balled out. Raymond had 190 punt return yards and a return touchdown. Then on offense he took in a catch for a touchdown. He’s got to be the game ball winner in this one.
Jahmyr Gibbs
Gibbs just makes it look easy out there. He had a career long 45-yard touchdown last week and then beat it with a 70-yard touchdown this week. In total he put 127 rushing yards on a pretty good Titans defense. What a day.
Amik Robertson
Robertson is a baller out there. He managed to keep most passes his way out of the hands of receivers and then when they did get into hands, he just knocked them right out. Robertson forced two fumbles in this game. He continues to be one of the best additions this team made this offseason.
Sam LaPorta
It was nice to see LaPorta looking like LaPorta again. The Lions didn’t do a ton on offense in this game because they really didn’t have to after starting in the Titans territory repeatedly. But LaPorta made the most of his touches when they weren’t there. He had six catches doe 48 yards and a touchdown.
Losers
Terrion Arnold
I know Lions fans don’t like when I say bad things about Arnold, but after a very good game last week, he had a pretty bad game this week. Arnold was targeted 10 times and allowed seven catches for 95 yards and a touchdown. Most of that likely came earlier in the game, so he did settle in, but still, that’s a lot.
Taylor Decker
Not a good day from Decker. He allowed two sacks, two pressures and a hurry. Believe it or not, this was an improvement from last week’s game when he allowed six pressures, five hurries and a sack. Decker has been playing ok overall, but there’s some concerns this year.
People who still think Aaron Glenn is bad at his job
The Titans got out to a hot start. There’s no way around it, Mason Rudolph was carving the Lions up. He went 13-23 for 220 yards and a touchdown and I was getting tweets like this.
