Seahawks to be without four defensive starters vs. Lions

The Lions may be catching the 3-0 Seattle Seahawks at a good time. Injuries are already starting to pile up for Seattle and they will be without key pieces for Monday’s game.

Seattle will be without four defensive starters Monday due to various injuries. They include defensive linemen Leonard Williams (ribs) and Byron Murphy II (hamstring) as well as linebackers Boye Mafe (knee) and Uchenna Nwosu (knee).

In addition, linebacker Jerome Baker is listed as questionable with a hamstring injury.

Seahawks head coach Mike McDonald noted that the Seahawks’ schedule as well as where they are in the season played a role in these game designation. The Seahawks are starting a stretch of three games in ten days (Monday at Detroit, Sunday, October 6 vs. the Giants and Thursday, October 10 against the 49ers.

The Seahawks did get some good news on the injury front. Running back Kenneth Walker III is off the injury report after missing two games with an oblique injury. He’ll be good to go for Monday.
