According to Nick Manes of Crain, beloved Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell is selling his Detroit home.

While the prospect of a coach moving may have some fans thinking Campbell is taking a job elsewhere despite his miraculous turnaround of the Detroit organization, the move is not indicative of a position change for Campbell.

Detroit Lions fans found out where Dan Campbell lives

Campbell is reportedly selling his Detroit home because Lions fans figured out where he resides. In an article from A to Z Sports, Campbell told Manes that security concerns caused him to worry about his family’s safety.

“The couple ‘loved’ the house, but security concerns necessitated the move to somewhere more private, Dan Campbell told Crain’s on Wednesday morning.

‘The neighborhood, everything,’ Campbell said of the appeal of the house. ‘There’s plenty of space, it’s on 2 acres, the home is beautiful. It’s just that people figured out where we lived when we lost.’

Campbell was held in high regard by the vast majority of Detroit fans after leading them to their first playoff win since 1991.

Campbell also led the Lions to their first NFC Championship Game appearance since the 1991-1992 season, showing Lions fans success with which many of them were unfamiliar. Before Campbell took over for the Lions, they had one of the worst stretches of any organization in the history of the NFL.

In a 15-year stretch that included the infamous 0-16 season, the Lions managed to have the third-worst winning percentage of any 15-year stretch in league history. The Lions had a winning percentage of 0.313 from 1996 to 2010.

Only the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1982 to 1996 and the New Orleans Saints from 1970 to 1984 had worse winning percentages over a 15-year period, winning .297 and .310 percent of their games, respectively.

Despite bringing the Lions back from the brink of being one of the worst organizations in the league, Campbell was still harassed by Detroit fans after losing. Many are blaming the Lions faithful for forcing Campbell to move.
