Man it feels like this one has been coming for a long, long time. The Detroit Lions have signed Allen Robinson to their practice squad.

Every time Robinson has been a free agent in his career, he has constantly been linked to the Lions. Now in 2024 at the age of 31, Robinson finally returns home to Detroit.

The former St. Marry’s Prep standout was taken by the Jaguars in the second-round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He made a Pro Bowl there and wound up signing a big deal to play for the Bears. He was with them until 2021. He spent time with the Rams, Steelers and Giants.

As to how much we’ll see of Robinson with the Lions, that’s a hard question to answer. Robinson has not been the same guy we’ve been used to seeing for a while.
