Terrion Arnold bringing the fun swagger to the Lions defense

USA Today

For most Lions fans, draft night in Detroit was the first introduction to the type of personality the team was getting in first-round cornerback Terrion Arnold. The Lions selected a confident young man who is clearly comfortable playing to a crowd with an earnest vigor that plays very well.

A couple of recent social media posts to X (formerly Twitter) have spotlighted Arnold’s ebullient, effervescent personality.

First up, Arnold and teammate Brian Branch were in their true forms while posing for a recent picture. The “Bama Boys” played together collegiately at Alabama and have very different styles. The pic says it all…

Those are the men we’ve seen in practices, a happy contrast of personalities. It’s impossible to see Branch talking about jamming his mom into the dirt, even if he’d probably do it for a win, too.

Yet Arnold can also be all about business, too. We’ve seen that in practices, just as we saw it while scouting his Alabama tape. Arnold flashed the more business-like demeanor in the next post, capturing him confidently focused on proving himself.

It’s a dynamic Arnold wears well, a positive energy that is quite tangible when in his presence. It won’t mean much if Arnold can’t quickly back it up on the field once the games count, but Arnold has definitely impressed in practices to this point.
