It’s official. The Detroit Lions have now signed their entire 2024 rookie class to their rookie deals.

The Lions signed four of their 2024 NFL Draft picks to their rookie deals on May 10th. Offensive lineman Gio Manu, running back Sione Vaki, Offensive lineman Christian Mahogany and defensive lineman Mehki Wingo are all set up. Rakestraw joined them on May 31st and now Arnold on June 13th.

The Lions were pretty close to replicating what they did with their rookies last year. The lower round guys are typically signed right away while the guys taken in the early rounds tend to take a little more time. For reference, here’s what the Lions rookie signings looked like last year:

  • Jahmyr Gibbs: July 17th
  • Jack Campbell: May 23rd
  • Sam LaPorta: June 15th
  • Brian Branch: July 18th
  • Hendon Hooker: May 12th
  • Brodric Martin: May 15th
  • Colby Sorsdal: May 9th
  • Antoine Green: May 10th

Rakestraw fits right in with the date of the Jack Campbell signing last year. Just a week later. Arnold got signed way before Jahmyr Gibbs did. The terms of the deal are not known yet, but we will be sure to update you as soon as they come out.
