Who is America’s team? The Dallas Cowboys sure think it’s them and they’ll tell you that every year forever. But there’s a new America’s team in town these days and it’s the Detroit Lions. They captivated the nation in the playoffs this year and most of the country wanted to see them play in the Super Bowl.
I think it’s fair to just go ahead and call the Lions America’s team right now. I think they can continue to be that in 2024 when they should be all over national television and constantly in America’s face.
The Cowboys do not like that though. Cowboys’ receiver CeeDee Lamb was asked about the Lions being America’s team at the Pro Bowl this weekend and he had some tough words. Lions rookie Jahmyr Gibbs had an all time comeback though.
Wow! The Lions made it to the NFC Championship game this year while the Cowboys were eliminated in the Wild Card round. The Lions also made it to the NFC Championship game while the Cowboys have not been there since 1995.
We’ll see what happens next season, but America seems to really love the Lions and not really like the Cowboys so much right now.
