Lions will host the Rams in the wild card round

The Detroit Lions will host the first-ever postseason game in Ford Field next weekend. It took the outcomes of a couple of late-afternoon games on Sunday to determine who the Lions will be playing in the wild-card round.

It will be the Los Angeles Rams coming to Detroit. Cue the storylines about Matthew Stafford returning to face his old team and Jared Goff looking to get redemption against the Rams and coach Sean Mcvay, too.

The Packers beat the Bears, 17-9, to briefly stake a claim to the sixth seed. However, the Rams pulled out the 21-20 win over the 49ers despite resting several key players in San Francisco, who also sat out a handful of players as well.
