It wasn’t the prettiest win in Detroit Lions history, but make no mistake that the Lions went out there and redeemed themselves after a tough loss to the Ravens. The Lions defense was on point all night and they cruised to a 26-14 win.
As always, I have thoughts on this game. These are those thoughts.
The Jahmyr Gibbs show
Usually NFL teams will script their first 15 plays or so. The script for this one was
- Gibbs stage left
- Gibbs stage right
- Gibbs up stage
- Gibbs catch
Gibbs showed last Sunday that he is ready for more and the Lions showed on Monday that they agree. They just let the kid do whatever he wanted to out there and he made it all work. He had big runs and big catches for runs. This is what Brad Holmes was talking about when he called Gibbs a position-less weapon.
Gibbs finished the day with 153 yards rushing, five receptions for 37 yards thorough the air and this beautiful touchdown.
