Lions’ Amon-Ra St. Brown returns to practice Wednesday, Branch and Gibbs updates

The Detroit Lions had to go into last Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers without their Pro Bowl receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. He was dealing with an abdomen injury.

St. Brown has returned to practice for the Lions ahead of their matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That’s a big return for them for sure.

Khalil Dorsey also returned for the Lions on Wednesday. That will start his 21 day clock in which the team will need to activate him or send him back to injured reserve.

As for who was out, here’s a list:

  • Brian Branch: Campbell said he was day to day. Working with trainer on the sideline
  • Jahmyr Gibbs:Also day to day
  • Zonvan Knight
  • James Mitchell
  • Jonah Jackson: Left Sunday’s game in a walking boot

That’s pretty much what was expected on Wednesday. Branch will be one to watch in the coming days. The fact that he’s working with a trainer is a good sign that he’ll return sooner rather than later.

As for the Bucs, Mike Evans did not practice Wednesday. That’s one to keep an eye on. We’ll update this story with their full report once it drops. Same with Lions.
