Lions’ Amon-Ra St. Brown is OUT against Panthers

Detroit Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown injured his abdomen at some point during the Lions win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 4. That injury kept him from practicing all week an on Friday, Lions Head Coach Dan Campbell told Lions media that they would see how things go on Saturday. We no know how they went.

St. Brown has been officially ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers. What this could mean going forward is unknown at this time. We’ll just have to wait to see if St. Brown returns to practice on Wednesday ahead of the teams trip to Tampa Bay to play the Buccaneers.

As for Sunday, the Lions offense should be interesting with Jameson Williams expected to return. Perhaps we’ll see the Lions turn him loose in this game. Look for Josh Reynolds, Kalif Raymond, Sam LaPorta and Jahmyr Gibbs to take a lot of the targets in the pass game. There’s still a lot of weapons here.

You have to wonder if the Lions will now move anyone up from the practice squad like Dylan Drummond or Daurice Fountain. We’ll be sure to update you as soon as we know the answer there.
