Okwara sacks Rivers on third down to end Colts’ opening drive
Detroit will kick it away to start the game. Jack Fox’s kick is returned by Isaiah Rodgers to the 24-yard-line, where the Colts will start their opening drive.
Jonathan Taylor takes the first-down pitch for a gain of 2. Philip Rivers has Jordan Wilkins wide-open on a crossing route and completes the pass for a gain of 24 yards to the 50.
Taylor is swallowed up for a gain of only 1 on the next play. Nyheim Hines is dropped on second down for a loss of 2, bringing up third-and-11. Detroit brings pressure, Romeo Okwara gets to the quarterback, and Rivers goes down for an 8-yard loss to end the drive.
