Did anyone else notice that the Detroit Lions got fined a lot this season? Well, if you haven’t, the NFL definitely has. They had quite the running tab on the Lions in 2024. They fined the team 20 times for a grand total of $444,007. That puts them at ninth in the league for total fines in 2024.

It felt like a lot more as it was happening, but it is worth noting that the Lions did get fined a lot, but they never really incurred a super big fine. The biggest fine a Lions player incurred in 2024 was Jameson Williams‘ $25,325 fine for humping the field after his touchdown in the Divisional round.

The Texans, who lead the league in fines had some players get fined massive amounts. Azeez Al-Shaair was fined $338,233,000 for his hit on Trevor Lawrence.

As for the Lions’ most fined player, that goes Brian Branch. He was fined seven times for a grand total of 70,896. He accounts for almost 16% of the Lions’ fines this year.
