Bears Bringing in Randle El to Serve as Assistant Head Coach

Ben Johnson is doing a hell of a job beefing up his new Chicago Bears coaching staff. With rumblings of names like Dennis Allen, Al Harris, and others potentially joining the staff, Johnson has supposedly found his right-hand man. Per reports, former Detroit Lions wide receivers coach Antwaan Randle El is joining the Bears as wide receivers coach and assistant head coach. 

Randle El joined Detroit’s staff in 2021 with Dan Campbell after two seasons in Tampa Bay as an offensive assistant. After four seasons as the wide receivers coach in Detroit, Randle El, a Chicagoland native, returns home to join Ben Johnson and the Bears. 

Randle El spent nine seasons in the NFL as a wide receiver. He began his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, winning a Super Bowl. Randle El went to Washington after before returning to Pittsburgh in his last season. 

A Harvey, IL native, Randle El will now be a part of his hometown team.
