Sportsbooks aren’t sold on either team as Vikings vs. Lions draws near

The Minnesota Vikings are primed to have their biggest regular season game ever on Sunday night when they head to Ford Field to take on the Detroit Lions.

It’s going to be a huge matchup for reasons other than a divisional battle: the winner not only wins the NFC North but they will get the number one seed in the NFC.

It will be the second time the Vikings will be playing on the year’s final game since 2015 and the third time the Lions are in the final game since 2016.

Vikings are slight underdogs against the Lions

On Sunday night, the Vikings are 2.5 point underdogs to the Lions according to DraftKings Sportsbook

The line feels about right, especially since home teams are given 2.5 points. During the Vikings’ nine-game winning streak, they are 8-1 against the spread with their only loss being against the Arizona Cardinals when they were 1.5-point favorites and won 23-22. The sportsbooks have not been able to pin down what the Vikings are yet and this game is likely to be no different.

Meanwhile, the Lions are 8-2 in the last 10 games against the spread with their losses coming against the Buffalo Bills and the Chicago Bears in that wild Thanksgiving Day game.

2.5 points feels fair, but it’s far from predictive right now, as both teams have been great against the spread.
