A report indicates why Brandon Joseph is no longer on the Lions

USA Today

When the Detroit Lions announced their slew of roster moves earlier on Saturday, the only real eyebrow-raising move was the waiving of safety Brandon Joseph. The second-year DB had been an integral part of Detroit’s special teams as well as the third safety behind starters Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph.

We might have a better understanding of why the Lions waived Joseph, thanks to a report from SI.

Per the report, Joseph was placed into custody by the Dearborn Heights Police Department on Saturday morning. The department confirmed that Joseph had been in their custody and then released. No indication was given on why Joseph was in their custody.

There are unconfirmed reports on Joseph’s situation, but until those are confirmed publicly by either Joseph or the Dearborn Heights PD, we are not permitted to print those speculations.
