In Week 15 the Buffalo Bills travel to Detroit to take on the Lions in what could be a Super Bowl LIX preview.
The Bills are coming off an upset road loss to the Los Angeles Rams, while the Lions have won 11 straight games. There are a ton of playmakers across the board in this game, making for plenty of good prop bets. Here are out top ones for this matchup.
*Odds subject to change
Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs OVER 67.5 rushing yards (-115) – BetMGM
Gibbs ranks fourth in the NFL in rushing yards with 1,016 despite David Montgomery significantly cutting into his workload. Gibbs is averaging a whopping 5.7 yards per carry and has rushed for over 67 yards in six of his last eight games.
The Bills are middling against the run and are allowing the fourth-most yards per carry average in the league. Gibbs has broken at least one run of 20 or more yards eight times this season.
Bills QB Josh Allen OVER 256.5 passing yards (-115) – DraftKings
Allen has eclipsed 256 passing yards in three of his last four games, including a 342-yard performance last week.
It appears that tight end Dalton Kincaid and wide receiver Keon Coleman are set to return from injury for this matchup, which will give Allen a huge boost in the passing game. The Lions rank 23rd against the pass, and this game could easily turn into a shootout between two great offensive units playing in a dome.
Lions QB Jared Goff OVER 254.5 passing yards (-115) – BetMGM
Goff is having an MVP caliber season, ranking first in the NFL in completion percentage, eighth in passing yards and fourth in passing touchdowns. He benefits greatly from Detroit’s excellent rushing attack as he makes a living off of play-action.
Goff has thrown for over 254 yards in three of his last four games. The Bills have been solid against the pass overall, but surrendered 320 yards to Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford last week.
Bills WR Khalil Shakir OVER 55.5 receiving yards (-115) – BetMGM
Shakir has been Allen’s go-to man this season, by far leading the team in targets with 81. Shakir is a versatile wide receiver who lines up all over the field and is a matchup nightmare with his speed.
Last week he racked up 106 receiving yards and has recorded at least 56 in five of his last seven games. Even if Kincaid and Coleman return this week, it could take them some time to knock the rust off, and Shakir is in a great groove with Allen.
