Lions are favored vs Packers in Week 14 even with all the injuries

USA Today

Normally the odds for a Thursday night game don’t get published until after Sunday’s game, but this is an unusual time. Since both combatants for the Week 14 Thursday night game, the Lions and Packers, played on Thanksgiving, the odds are already out.

The early line for next Thursday’s NFC North matchup at Ford Field sees the Lions favored by 5.5 points (via BetMGM) over the Packers. Even with all the injuries all over the defense, the 11-1 Lions have shown they can keep winning. Green Bay blew out a flat Miami team in Lambeau Field on Thanksgiving night, cruising to a 30-17 win after opening a 27-3 lead in the third quarter, improving its record to 9-3.

The moneyline shows Detroit +250, which is a pretty strong indicator that the Lions are expected to win outright. The Lions beat the Packers 24-14 in Green Bay back in Week 9.
