With their dominant Week 11 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Detroit Lions have reached a historic milestone. For the first time, they are the favorites to win the Super Bowl, according to the latest odds from BetMGM.

The 52-6 blowout not only moved the Lions to 9-1 on the season —marking their best start since 1962 — but it also extended their winning streak to eight games, their longest in a season since 1934.

Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs, the reigning back-to-back Super Bowl champions, suffered their first loss of the season to the Buffalo Bills, dropping their record to 9-1 as well.

Detroit’s remarkable performance in Week 11, combined with the Chiefs’ stumble, has shifted the Super Bowl odds, with the Lions now emerging as the favorites to lift the Lombardi Trophy.

Detroit’s high-powered offense, which has posted multiple games this season with 50 or more points and seven touchdowns — a franchise first — has been a major factor in its success. The Lions’ balanced attack, coupled with a tough defense, has made them one of the most complete and dominant teams in the league.

Just one year removed from their NFC Championship appearance, the Lions are now the highest-ranked NFC team on BetMGM’s Super Bowl odds board, with only the Chiefs, Bills and Ravens trailing closely behind.
