For years, it was a rare time when the Detroit Lions were betting favorites in a road game, let alone one against a 6-3 team with an MVP candidate at quarterback — which is what Detroit faces in Week 10 in Houston and C.J. Stroud. But the times have changed for Detroit, now 7-1 and favored to win against the Texans on Sunday night.
The Lions remain 3.5-point favorites in the Week 10 matchup after the injury status reports for both teams came out. Based on the action being placed on the game and the -200 straight moneyline odds for the Lions, nearly everyone expects Detroit to win.
As of Saturday at 10 a.m., wagerers at BetMGM had placed over 86 percent of the bets and 90 percent of the money invested in the game on the Lions. Given that the line of 3.5 points has remained relatively stable, that’s a very substantial lean from the gambling community.
