Cutdown time is the hardest time there is for teams. Sometimes they have to get rid of guys they really like because there just isn’t room. For the Detroit Lions, they had a hard move when they cut linebacker Abraham Beauplan after a solid camp and preseason.

The former Viking signed with the Lions in early August and had just a few weeks to impress. He did just that. He had a really good game against the Chiefs. A game so good that Pro Football Focus gave him a 90.1 grade. He had another good game against the Steelers in Week 3.

Ultimately Ben Niemann had been around longer and the Lions went with him. Now Beauplan is back
