Lions to debut black uniforms, blue helmets Monday

The black uniforms are coming in Detroit. And they’re right around the corner.

The Lions are debuting their new black uniforms and blue helmets Monday night when they host the Seattle Seahawks.

The “Motor City Muscle” uniforms are a reinterpretation of jerseys worn in the late 1990s and early 2000s by former players, including head coach Dan Campbell. The Lions also wore black uniforms in 2005 and 2006.

The blue helmets feature a black Lions logo and will feature a matte finish. The new looks were officially announced back in April and will be making their much-anticipated debut this week.
