Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown throws shade at Saints despite 2-0 start

It should come as no surprise that New Orleans Saints wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown and his brother Detroit Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown have quite the sibling rivalry on the NFL field.

However, that rivalry escalated a bit when Amon-Ra took a shot at Equanimeous’ team on a recent episode of their “St. Brown Podcast,” stating he wasn’t impressed with the Saints despite its 2-0 start. New Orleans has logged blowout wins over the Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys.

“I’m not retracting any statements that I made earlier,” Amon-Ra St. Brown said. “… It must [have just been] a bad game for the Cowboys; I feel like the Cowboys have those games. They’ll have great games then have a bad game, so you probably just caught them in one of their bad games. You guys still don’t move me.”

Equanimeous didn’t take kindly to his brother’s jab, firing back about the quality of opponent that the Cowboys are.

“Trying to discredit the Cowboys is crazy,” he said. “With their roster and what they’ve got going on, as many games as they’ve won and as successful as they’ve been during the regular season in the past four or five years is crazy.”

Whether the younger St. Brown brother is impressed or not, the Saints’ numbers speak for themselves.
