Lions reportedly sign former Broncos standout receiver after final cutdowns

The Detroit Lions have been needing an X receiver for a while now and it appears they have found their guy. The Lions are reportedly signing former Denver Broncos receiver Tim Patrick.

Patrick has an interesting route to Detroit. In 2020 and 2021 he looked like a player that was on the rise. He had back to back 700 yard plus seasons and it wouldn’t have been a shock to see him get to 1,000. Then Patrick tore his ACL in 2022 and tore his Achilles the very next year. He has not played since the 2021 season.

Patrick returned this summer and the reports have been positive. Many have said he looks good, but the Broncos just have guys in front of him that they want to use more.

The Lions are a good landing spot for him since he has the speed, size (he’s 6-feet-4 and 212 pounds) and athleticism the Lions need in that X spot. The next Josh Reynolds could be in town.
