As previously discussed on GH, Hendon Hooker suffered a concussion during the Lions preseason contest against the New York Giants. Head coach Dan Campbell said he wasn’t sure how long Hooker would be in the concession protocol:

“Yeah, he got a concussion, so he’s obviously in the protocol and he’ll be evaluated. I don’t know how long it’s going to be. I know he got his bell rung, so that’s what that was. Obviously, we would have loved to have gotten more time with him, but that’s one of those things that happens. One of his runs there he must have gotten it.”

Hooker missed most of last season, recovering from an ACL injury he sustained in college at Tennessee in 2022.

The Detroit Lions released WR Antonie Green

Per a statement by the Lions, the team wived injured wide receiver Antonie Green. The Lions selected Green in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He caught one pass for two yards last season.

The Lions signed linebacker Ty Summers. The Green Bay Packers selected Summers in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He’s made 60 total tackles. He’s played for the Jacksonville Jaguars and New Orleans Saints.

Jake Fromm signs with the Lions
