Carlton Davis slams his Madden rating ‘I think its just a lot of BS’

EA Sports dropped their Madden ratings for cornerbacks on Thursday and new Lions cornerback Carlton Davis was not a fan of his 83 rating. We had a chance to ask him about it on Friday and he initially had to stop himself from saying what he really wanted to say about Madden and their ratings.

“I hate it. I can’t even see what I want to say. I don’t respect the ratings. I think it’s like a lot of hype that go into it. I just think its a lot of BS. I don’t think they stand on all 10 toes as far as like the ratings and the guys who they’re giving them ratings to and the guys who they aren’t giving ratings to. But it is what it is.”

Davis had an 81 rating for the Buccaneers when they were released last season. His rating did go up, but not as high as he wanted them too. There is always opportunity for them to rise though. If Davis balls out this season, he can get that rating to go up. Maybe next year he’ll be in the 90’s.
