Lions reportedly lose key defensive player John Cominsky for the season with a torn MCL

This is the stuff you hate to see at training camp. Detroit Lions‘ edge rusher John Cominsky got rolled up on at the Meijer Performance Center on Tuesday and had to be carted off the field by trainers. We now know what the prognosis is on that injury. 

Cominsky has a torn MCL and will be out indefinitely. There’s a chance he could be back for the playoffs, but in terms of the regular season, he’s expected to miss all 17 games.
