Lions’ rookie Terrion Arnold pays tribute to the Bad Boy Pistons with Alabama twist while working with yet another DB guru

The Detroit Lions scored bug when they were able to get Alabama cornerback Terrion Arnold with the 24th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Lions got him about 12 spots lower than he was expected to go.

One of the big reasons he’s a score is his work ethic. Since the Lions took a break between minicamp and training camp, Arnold has not stopped working. Every weekend since he has been with a different defensive backs guru of some sort. This weekend he worked with Coach T. Norton.

That’s really cool and all, but there’s one thing that really catches the eye here and it’s what Arnold is wearing. The Detroit News’ Noah Bianchi caught it first. Arnold is wearing a Bad Boys era Pistons shirt that says “Detroit Bama Boys” on it.

What an awesome shirt. It totally tracks since we here at A to Z Detroit, and many others have been saying that there has to be a underground tunnel that runs from Bryant-Deny Stadium to Ford Field because Brad Holmes loves him some Alabama football.

The Lions have drafted four players from Albama in the last three years. Jameson Williams, Brian Branch, Jahmyr Gibbs and now Terrion Arnold. All four of these guys were teammates in Tuscaloosa as well. It kind of makes you feel bad for Carlton Davis. He’s the one Auburn guy on the team and he is vastly outnumbered.
