Aidan Hutchinson visits Red Wings before blowout win

The city of Detroit may be seeing its football team on the up-an-up but the rise the Red Wings are having cannot and should not be overlooked.

Last week we saw Ben Johnson play a part in a Red Wings win, and on Tuesday night it was Aidan Hutchinson’s turn. The Red Wings faced off against the Washington Capitals led by future Hall of Famer Alex Ovechkin. The stars were out but Hutchinson was in a league of his own that night.

Hutchison had himself a night, a dream night for sure for the Michigan kid. It started by getting the crowd into the night’s matchup. He followed that up by showing how fast he could drink a beverage between whistles before ending it by being the star of the Red Wings social media team.

It wasn’t just Hutchinson who had a great night. Detroit’s finest on the ice did as well. The Red Wings would win the game 8-3 in dominant fashion and earned two points in the standings. The Lions won their division this year and the Red Wings are doing their best to win theirs as well. Perhaps they will welcome back their good luck charm for more games this season as they now ride a six-game win streak.
