The 2024 NFL Combine is here! The festivities begin on Tuesday and continue until Sunday. The Detroit Lions will have both Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell in attendance along with their scouting department and other members of the front office. There’s going to be a lot going on. Here’s the four things that I’ll be keeping an eye out for.
What’s the message this year?
Last year Brad Holmes walked into the combine with a hoodie that said “villain” on it. That immediately became one of the Lions credo’s in 2023. Holmes will be talking to the media on Tuesday evening, will he have some sort of message on his shirt this year that will point to the direction of the Lions 2024?

Both Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell talk to the media on Tuesday. Here’s a good chance to get an idea of what they’re looking for there and what they could be looking for in free agency shortly after the combine wraps up on Sunday. We usually get some good quotes during this time. Stuff like “you don’t grade off somebody out here in pajamas.”
Stories about meeting with the Lions
Players will be meeting with teams all week with both formal and informal meetings. They’ll also be talking with media all week. Here’s a good chance to see if any of them bring up their meeting with Detroit. Last year Sam LaPorta talked about meeting with the Lions and the big chaw that Dan Campbell was sporting.
