The Lions and Bruce Irvin are parting ways

Yardbarker

Irvin signed with the Lions in November and he wound up playing three games for Detroit. He never quite caught on with the Lions despite a big game in New Orleans that saw him get his one and only sack with the team. In total, Irvin played 34 snaps for the Lions and recorded five pressures and the one sack.

There was some thought that the Lions might look to keep Irvin on the team and elevate him during the postseason, but they have instead decided to move on.

The Lions now have an open spot on their practice squad. It will be interesting to see what they choose to do with it. We’ll keep you updated as more news comes in and as soon as we find out what the corresponding move for this is.
