Frank Ragnow won’t play against the Bears

It’s been speculated about all week, but Lions head coach Dan Campbell made it all but official on Friday. Pro Bowl center Frank Ragnow will not play in Detroit’s Week 14 trip to Chicago.

Campbell was asked about Ragnow and his status prior to Friday’s practice session.

“Yeah, I don’t see him going. I don’t see him going,” Campbell responded. “But he is improving, he’s getting better, he’s getting better. So – but yeah, I don’t see him going. I don’t see him going.”

Ragnow did not practice all week. The grizzled veteran is battling myriad injuries; Ragnow is listed with back, knee and toe injuries.

Graham Glasgow is expected to take over at center, as he did when Ragnow left the Week 13 win over the Saints. Rookie Colby Sorsdal will fill Glasgow’s typical role at right guard.
