Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions are currently looking like one of the top contenders in the NFC ahead of Week 14 NFL action. At this point in the season, they hold a 9-3 record and are right there with teams like the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, and San Francisco 49ers.

Prior to the start of the 2023 season, no one would have guessed that the Lions would be this good. They have completely overwhelmed expectations and have shown no signs of slowing down.

With the stretch run of the regular season almost here, Goff has been very vocal about making sure that the Lions don’t lose their focus.

Jared Goff Sends Bold Warning To Lions Before Week 14

Ahead of their divisional game against the Bears, Goff did not hold back from sending a serious message to his team.

“Know that everyone is kind of in that mode that you have to win these games, and everyone has things that they’re going for. No one’s out of it. Everyone’s trying to win a game, so knowing that you have [to] turn your urgency up a little bit and stay process oriented and trust what you’re doing daily in practice. But, yeah, your intensity turns up a little bit this late in the year.”

Those are excellent words of wisdom from the Lions’ starting quarterback.

Most of the players in Detroit have not played meaningful football at this point in the season. They are headed towards an NFC North division title and a good seed in the playoffs. There is absolutely no room for a slip this late in the year.

Looking ahead at the rest of the regular season schedule for the Lions, they will take on the Bears in Chicago, and after that will face the Denver Broncos at home, the Minnesota Vikings on the road, the Dallas Cowboys on the road, and the Vikings at home. That’s not a super easy schedule.

It will be interesting to see if the Lions can finish out the season strong. They have had a special season so far and would be a fun team to watch in the playoffs if they keep playing the way they have so far.
