The Detroit Lions didn’t have the greatest of days on Thursday. It was probably their worst day on offense in quite a while. The defense had some struggles early before they were able to get things under control after a rough start.
Lets take a look at how Pro Football Focus graded the Lions in this game.
Highest grade
David Montgomery was the Lions highest graded player with a grade of 90.8. He finished the day with 71 yards and a touchdown. He did look pretty good Thursday. This grade makes sense.
Highs
- Penei Sewell: 89.3. The Lions offensive line had a rough day, but Sewell was once again the high point of the line. According to PFF, this was his best game of the year. Even more than that, this is the highest grade he’s ever received in his career.
- Kalif Raymond: 84.1. Raymond has been reliable all season long and he was once again reliable on Thursday. He had five catches for 90 yards on just 24 snaps. They have to find a way to get him more involved.
- Josh Paschal: 78.3. Paschal only played 29 snaps, but he made the most of them. I don’t really understand the grade though becasue he only had one tackle and I can’t tell you I remember him doing much of anything
Lows
- Jerry Jacobs: 40.1. This one makes sense. Jacobs got picked on in this game. He allowed eight receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown per PFF.
- Alex Anzalone: 47.6. A week after receiving a 90.3, he cut his grade in half and had a rough game against the Packers.
- Kayode Awosika: 30.8. The Packers really picked on Awosika in this game. He allowed seven pressures and a hit on Goff.
