The Detroit Lions head into their third divisional game on Thanksgiving and they’re going to do it with a pretty healthy team. Only Jonah Jackson was ruled out for this one. Still, the Lions made a couple roster moves for their game against the Packers. Here they are.
Elevated Quinton Bohanna to the active/inactive list
Bohanna was elevated and active against the Bears on Sunday and had a pretty decent game. He walked out with a tackle for a loss and 66.1 Pro Football Focus grade. He should be active again for this one after that game. We’ll see if that happens. If he is and he plays well, I wouldn’t be shocked to see him permanently added to the Lions 53-man roster.
Elevated Michael Schofield to active/inactive list
This move is also intriguing. With Jackson out, the Lions need some help on the left side of the offensive line. They started Colby Sorsdal on Sunday and struggled for much of the day.
Schofield is NFL veteran that’s started 86 games in his NFL career. He’s primarily started at tackle and guard on the right side, but maybe the Lions might look to give him a shot on the left side in this game if they don’t want to go with Sorsdal there again.
I would also note that since Schofield is a temporary elevation, that could mean good things on the injury front for Jonah Jackson next week. We’ll see.
