Jahmyr Gibbs showed on Sunday that he’s ready for big things

The Detroit Lions got beaten pretty badly on Sunday. It might have even been one of the worst beatings this team has ever taken. I spent all day Sunday being negative about this team for good reason, but I have to at least have one positive take from this game. That take is that Jahmyr Gibbs looked like a legitimate weapon on Sunday and he’s ready for more.

The Gibbs conversation has been kind of an annoying one if we’re being honest. Fantasy people were mad because the Lions were bringing him along slowly and some Lions fans were mad for the same reason.

On Sunday the Lions were put in a situation, for the second time this season, where they were forced to throw Gibbs into the deep end becasue David Montgomery was out. He swam both times, but on Sunday he looked closer to Michael Phelps than me. I’m a bad swimmer.

Gibbs ran for 68 yards and caught nine passes for 58 yards. He even scored his first career touchdown on a really nice 21-yard run.
