Lions vs Ravens game designations: Will Brian Branch play?

Yardbarker

It’s Friday and you know that means. It’s time to learn what the Detroit Lions game designations are going to be for this week. The big ones that everyone is keeping an eye on are Jahmyr Gibbs and Brian Branch. Both returned to practice this week. We got our answer on Gibbs early Friday morning. He will play on Sunday. As for everyone else, lets’ see what their designations are:

  • Jonah Jackson: Out
  • David Montgomery: Out
  • James Mitchell: Questionable
  • Josh Paschal: Questionable
  • Craig Reynolds: Questionable

No designations for Brian Branch. He will return on Sunday. Gibbs also has no designation and we already know he’ll play. The Lions are going to need Branch on Sunday. His run stopping ability out of the nickel will really help. They’re going to get it.

Craig Reynolds showed up on the injury report this week and sat out Wednesday. He participated on Thursday and Friday and it looks like he’ll be able to go Sunday as well.

Josh Paschal was designated to return from injured reserve last week. That started his 21 day clock. He did practice all week this week, so there’s a good shot that he’ll be activated by the Lions on Saturday and will make his comeback on Sunday. I would expect some sort of snap count for that too.

As for the Ravens, they’re pretty healthy. We’ll update this story as soon as their designations are dropped.
