Lions vs Panthers: What Just Happened?

Revenge is nice isn’t it? Last season the Lions went into Carolina with their playoff hopes in sight and the Panthers beat the hell out of them. This time it was the Lions that were doing the beating in a 42-24 win. You have to love when your team drops a 40 burger.

As always, I have thoughts on this game. These are those thoughts:

Jared Goff Report

Our weekly Goff report is in. The guy balled out yet again. Goff was deadly all day. The Lions didn’t pass the ball a ton, but when they did, Goff was able connect with his guys. He finished the day going 20-28 for 236 yards and three touchdowns. He also had a rushing touchdown. You know, something that Goff does all the time. He’s like the next Mike Vick.

Taketh thine prolate spheroid away from thy

Did you guys know that I totally know archaic Shakespeare language? If thee didn’t knoweth, thee knoweth now. Anyways, the Lions did a lot of things in the taketh department in this game. They had two interceptions and a fumble recovery in the first half alone. 

This defense has just been something else this season. In the last three weeks they’ve been able to stop the run, hit the quarterback and take the ball a way at a rate that would be scary if it were done by the a team the Lions were about to play.
