Defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson sustained a non-contact injury to his right leg during 11-on-11 drills on Monday morning. He was carted off the field after trainers tended to him for several minutes on the field.
Gardner-Johnson was a free-agent acquisition who signed a one-year deal this offseason. He was on track to be the starting nickel cornerback.
