Watch this! New Detroit Lions LB Jack Campbell tackled by fiancé while wakesurfing

Detroit Free Press

We knew that Detroit Lions linebacker Jack Campbell could dish out big hits, but now we know that he can take them as well.

Campbell’s new fiancée, Megan Meyer, recently posted a fun video of him wakesurfing, which is when you ride behind a boat, using nothing but the boat’s wake to pull you after you get up with a rope.

It’s tough and challenging, but thrilling if you get it down properly.

Well, right as Campbell was seemingly getting the groove of the wake, eventually flexing with both arms as he got his balance, Meyer decided enough was enough, and embraced her future husband’s football instincts, spearing him off the board and into the water.

Campbell laughed as he was brought down and landed as flat as a pancake as the board shot behind them.

It was a fun moment that helped show the lighter side of the man who projects to one day be the backbone of the Lions’ defense.

Shoutout to Jack for getting into the surf though, it’s definitely not easy!
