What to expect
Aside from the dreams of hundreds of young men coming true in a instant, expect plenty of bro-hugs with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, snazzy hats like the one pictured above, and analysis from the likes of Mel Kiper Jr. with dozens of mentions of “upside,” “potential” and “steal.”
As for the Lions
As it stands right now, Detroit has nine picks in the draft, including two in Round 1 (sixth, 18th). In the last two years, both with general manager Brad Holmes at the helm, the Lions have picked offensive lineman Penei Sewell (2021), defensive lineman Aidan Hutchinson and wide receiver Jameson Williams in the first round.
