Through nine games, the Detroit Lions aren’t too far off preseason expectations, but they’ve taken a frustrating route to reach their 3-6 record. That included a five-game losing streak with some self-inflicted wounds that cost them at least one win and probably more.

On an individual level, there have been surprises and disappointments. That’s standard fare for any season, and even more prominent with such a young, still-developing roster.

As is tradition, even though we’ve lost the benefit of an obvious midpoint after the NFL switched to a 17-game schedule, we’re here to weigh in with a midseason report card, grading every player who has logged at least 100 snaps on offense or defense.
