Eagles vs Lions Prediction and Promo for Week 1 (Offensive Showcase in Store)

SideLion Report

“I swear to God, I’m not a lunatic.” – Dan Campbell

The quote machine leading the Detroit Lions’ rebuild turned the much-maligned franchise into one of the NFL’s most beloved. Now in year three of his tenure, Campbell expects substantial progress behind a much-improved roster. Detroit gets the opportunity to show the league the organization is more than fun quotes in a Week 1 matchup with the trendy Philadelphia Eagles.

To help usher in the 2022 NFL season, FanDuel Sportsbook has a spectacular new promo for Lions fans. Dan Campbell might not be a lunatic, but you are if you don’t take advantage of the $150 in free bets FanDuel is giving away.

Here’s how I’m using my free bets on the Lions opener against the Eagles:

Eagles vs Lions Prediction and Pick

Eagles vs Lions Over 48.5 (-110)

There’s a ton of offensive talent for both teams and recent trends indicate a high-scoring game is in store. The Eagles are a trendy pick to win the NFC after bringing in AJ Brown to solidify an incredible supporting cast for quarterback Jalen Hurts. At the same time, the Lions have an improved wide receiver room to pair with a healthy D’Andre Swift and TJ Hockenson.

Amon-Ra St. Brown scored a touchdown in five of his final six games last year and should be one of NFL’s most productive receivers as the focal point of Dan Campbell’s offense. I’ve got questions about Detroit’s defense, but that just makes the over an even better play.

The over hit in each of the last five matchups between these teams, including the Eagles’ 44-6 win last October. It’s 6-2 in Philly’s last eight games as a favorite and 4-2 in Detroit’s last six as an underdog.

Expect those trends to continue as both offenses showcase improvement.

First Drive Result: Offensive Touchdown (+310)

This is a neat prop FanDuel offers that I want to take advantage of.

If I’m expecting points, then odds of +310 are a value for the first drive of the game to result in a touchdown. It doesn’t really matter who starts with the ball either. Both teams will have their best plays scripted for the first drive, and we’ve seen big-play ability from each side.

Even if we lose though, we can’t lose! That’s the beautiful thing about FanDuel’s amazing promo: we’re getting $150 in free bets whether we win or lose.

Don’t forget to claim your $150 before it’s too late. Bet $5, win $150, Sign up for FanDuel now! You’d be a lunatic not to.
