Detroit Lions’ Jamaal Williams, A.J. Parker questionable vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Detroit Free Press

Detroit Lions running back Jamaal Williams is questionable to play Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles because of the thigh injury he suffered in last week’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Williams practiced on a limited basis Friday after missing Thursday’s practice.

“I think (Friday) will be the big test as to where we feel like he is and how he feels,” Lions coach Dan Campbell said. “He’s still got some strength in it, which is good. That’s a positive. It kind of popped up last week, but he finished the game for us and did really well. But we just won’t know. Jamaal, if he can go, he’s going to go, it’s just a matter of if he can take a load, that’s it.”

Williams leads the Lions (0-7) with 312 yards rushing on 71 carries this season while splitting the rushing workload with D’Andre Swift.

Swift has been questionable every week this season with a groin injury, including this week, but said Thursday the injury has not limited in him in games.

“I’m fine,” he said. “Just getting to Sundays and just working my way back, getting ready for the game.”

Cornerbacks A.J. Parker (neck) and Jerry Jacobs (illness) and outside linebacker Trey Flowers (knee) also are questionable after practicing on a limited basis Friday.

The Lions could use some combination of Bobby Price, Mark Gilbert and Dean Marlowe in the secondary if Parker and/or Jacobs can’t play.
