Detroit Lions sign Tommy Kraemer to 53-man roster, re-sign Daryl Worley to practice squad

The Detroit Lions added another undrafted rookie to their 53-man roster Wednesday, signing offensive lineman Tommy Kraemer off the practice squad.

Kraemer will take the place of Logan Stenberg, who went on injured reserve Monday.

Kramer signed with the Lions in May and earned praise for his play throughout training camp. He was promoted briefly to the 53-man roster earlier this season, after Taylor Decker suffered a mid-week finger injury before the Lions’ season-opening loss to the San Francisco 49ers, and has spent the rest of the season on practice squad.

Decker remains on injured reserve, though he returned to practice earlier this month. The Lions have until Nov. 9 to activate him to the 53-man roster or shut him down for the year.

The Lions also re-signed cornerback Daryl Worley to the practice squad.

Worley was cut Tuesday after getting beat for the long pass that set up the go-ahead touchdown in the Los Angeles Rams’ 28-19 win over the Lions on Sunday.
