Ifeatu Melifonwu picked by Detroit Lions; ESPN’s Louis Riddick says he should be superstar

Here’s what ESPN’s NFL draft analysts said after the Detroit Lions picked Syracuse cornerback Ifeatu Melifonwu in the third round of the 2021 NFL draft on Friday:

“He’s a guy who has that length and turning motion and ability to get in and out and hang with those speedy receivers. He showed that capability this year.”

Louis Riddick

“There is no reason this young man shouldn’t be a superstar. You watch him play at the line of scrimmage, he may be the best press corner in this draft as far as being patient at the line and jamming with the proper hand. He’s got speed to run with people down the field. He can finish on the football with interceptions.”
